uThukela warns Estcourt residents about water quality
The boiling alert is for the next 24 hours; thereafter, water will be safe to drink
uThukela District Municipality has issued a warning about the quality of Estcourt’s water.
uThukela say the water is not to be used without boiling in the Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality area.
‘’We monitor our water quality on a regular basis and have discovered a slight water quality problem, which we are in the process of rectifying. As a precautionary measure, we would advise you to boil your drinking water for the next 24 hours. This is to ensure that your health is not affected in any way,” commented the municipality.

They apologise for the inconvenience caused.
Boil alert tips:
Do not drink tap water;
Do not use ice made from recent tap water;
Do not use tap water to make drinks, juice, baby formula or soft drinks;
Brush your teeth with boiled water;
Washing laundry as usual in hot or cold water is safe.
