Dundee area gears up to mark Palm Sunday and Holy Week
An Easter sunrise service will be held at the Dundee Golf Club on Easter Sunday, March 31.
March 24: Palm Sunday procession
Palm Sunday will be marked by an ecumenical bell tolling and a procession starting from the Catholic Church in Browning Street from 15:00. The procession will follow a route to the Lutheran Church (Browning Street), the NG Kerk (Wilson Street) and will end at the St James Church (Gladstone Street). Please bring your own palm leaves. All are welcome to mark the day when Jesus entered Jerusalem.
March 25-31: Marking Holy Week
Holy Week, the run-up to Easter, will be marked with various services: March 25 from 18:00 at the NG Kerk in Strathmore Park; March 26 from 18:00 at the Methodist Church in Gladstone Street; March 27 from 18:00 at the Presbyterian Church in Beaconsfield Street; March 28 from 18:00 at the St James Church in Gladstone Street; March 29 (Good Friday) at various churches; and the Easter Sunday sunrise service will be held at Dundee Golf Club from 06:00. All are welcome to join any or all of these services.
