Truck catches fire on N3
Clean-up operations were still in progress this morning
A truck driver was rushed to hospital yesterday evening (February 7) after the truck he was travelling in caught fire on the N3 between Ultra City and Frere.
The Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality fire-fighting team, Umtshezi Fire Protection and emergency services were called out to the scene to extinguish the blaze.

N3 Toll Concession (N3TC) said that all vehicles were diverted to Wembezi Bridge to join the N3.
The Al-Imdaad Foundation was also part of the emergency team that successfully put out the fire.
No one was killed in the incident and at this stage, the cause of the fire is unknown.
