Phase one of D1331 and P233 road construction launched

MEC Hlomuka engaged with the community where he introduced them to the contractors for the project and detailed their plans.

The construction of two roads in Madadeni will create jobs and benefit those wanting to access health facilities and schools.

So said KZN MEC for Transport, Community Safety, and Liaison, Sipho Hlomuka, when he this week launched the first phase of construction for D1331 and P233 in Ward 26.

According to the department, the upgrade of both of these roads will benefit the communities by providing road access to surrounding schools, Madadeni Hospital, and other health facilities in the area.

The upgrade of these main roads (D1331 and P233) is set to create around 230 job opportunities while empowering local emerging contractors in wards 6, 26, and 31.
