Big Zulu builds home for Newcastle family

The popular musician fulfilled the promise he made to the family in August to build them a home after they lost their home was devastated in a fire.

In a generous act that has caused a social media storm, fans and the public are gushing over the benevolent act of award-winning musician, Big Zulu, who has built a house for an impoverished family in Newcastle.

Big Zulu took to social media to ask the public to join him in a fundraising concert held at Khuzinz in Madadeni, to raise money for the project.

He eventually shared the completed result with the world on Instagram, taking them through the entire construction process of the family’s new home.

“This is the completed project. We had promised the mother that we would return to construct her house so she could live happily with her kids,” he wrote.

Big Zulu is no stranger to Newcastle, having recently headlined the Newcastle Winterfestival in June 2023.

He is a fellow Northern-KZN native, originally hailing from Bergville.
