No power in some parts of town

Electricians are currently trying to fix the problem

Some areas in Ladysmith have been without electricity from yesterday (December 2).

According to the Alfred Duma Electricity Department, there is a fault on the primary cable that supplies power to the Nambithi switch house in Circle Road, from the Jantha substation.

This resulted in power outages to Leonardsville, lower Murchison Street and Hospital Park.

Electricians are urgently trying to locate the fault and repair it.
