Two killed in stabbing incident at local high school

Two men who were attempting to rob schoolchildren were stabbed to death on the grounds of a local high school.

The incident, which has left the school community shocked, occurred last Wednesday at Mzamo High School in Osizweni.

When they saw that the students were retreating back into the school premises, they entered the main gate armed with knives and stones.

“The suspects were trying to rob the schoolchildren of their cell phones. The schoolchildren mobilised and fought back.

“The suspects were killed during the fight, while two students were rushed to Madadeni hospital with stab wounds,” Arumugam said.

Cases of double murder, attempted murder and assault with grievous bodily harm have been opened.

Police investigations are still on going.
