Young entrepreneurs in line for national prestigious award
Sine Nene and Anele Jili have been nominated for the annual Sebenza Women's Awards set to take place in October.
Chosen amongst numbers of equally talented women across South Africa, these two have become an inspiration to the local youth.
Sine (26) has taken the media world by storm with her incredible radio and online presence. She quickly gained a loyal following among Newcastle youth and rose to become not only a staple on our radios, but also a brand ambassador and popular medial influencer.
Affectionately known as ‘Aunty wama 2000,’ says she was overwhelmed when she learned of her nomination.
“I remember hearing about my nomination from a colleague who called just as I got out of the shower one evening,” she says. “I was so shocked by felt such gratitude,” she continues.
Anele Jili (27), one of the directors of Banzi Catering and Decorating, has made a name for herself in the hospitality industry. Anele, who holds an international qualification in hospitality and tourism, is grateful for the opportunity and considers herself fortunate to have even made it to the finals.
Sine is nominated in the Women in Media category alongside legends such as Baby Cele and Deli Mlanga, while Anele is nominated in the Women in Hospitality category.
The ladies are appealing for the Newcastle Community to vote in their numbers .
