Early Childhood Development Centre hosts beauty pageant fundraiser

The Siphosethu Early Childhood Development Centre hosted a beauty pageant fundraiser that brought together families and community members for a day of fun and philanthropy.

The Madadeni School is the dream of founder and principal, Sebenzile Mntambo, a retired teacher who believes that a year of learning would benefit children in their foundation phase.

The fundraising event featured eager young students dressed in their best outfits and working the stage as if they were models strutting down the catwalk at an international fashion show.

The winners received trophies, certificates, and the coveted title of Mr. and Mrs. Siphosethu Preschool.

“We were able to obtain funds to purchase heaters and blankets for the children and use the remainder of the funds to purchase food to sell to the community, generating additional revenue for the school,” Mntambo said.

She thanked everyone who contributed to the event’s success, saying, “in partnership with the parents, school committee, and teachers, this event was a success.”
