Family fun at Airtime Obstacle Park fun day obstacle stadium race
Newcastle fitness fanatics were in for a real treat this past Saturday as they endured 35 obstacles around the Arbor Park Sports Grounds.
Chilly weather conditions did not deter the determination of the 30 teams, who took on tyre pulling, rope climbing and a variety of mentally and physically challenging obstacles in their bid to get to the finishing line in a record time.

Not a single competitor was left empty handed and everyone received a medal in recognition of their hard work and endurance.
The day was well supported with a variety of spectators and water tables cheering on the contestants and watching in admiration.
Event organiser, Leon van Staden, thanked everyone who took part and supported the day’s events.
A bigger and better Airtime Obstacle Family Fun Day will be planned for later in the year,” van Staden said.
