Siyamukela Combined School awards its Term 1 Top Achievers
It was a very joyful morning at Siyamukela on Friday, May 12, 2023, as the school recognized and awarded the top achievers of the 1st Term.
Among the top achievers honoured was the top learner of the school, Siyamthanda Sithole, who has been excelling in her studies since Grade 8.
Siyamthanda obtained 7 distinctions.
All the awardees received certificates, and positions 1–3 received trophies in addition.
The school’s top learner, Siyamthanda Sithole, was also awarded a very beautiful blazer to distinguish her from the rest of the learners.
The principal, Mrs. L. Gwala, on behalf of the staff, thanked all the awardees for their good performance and encouraged all the learners, especially the class of 2023, to keep on working hard to obtain excellent results at the end of the year.
The top achievers were as follows:
Grade 8:
Middle: Magangane Sibahle, Ntshingila Mvelo, Masondo Sbongakonke and Mpanza Mihle.
Back: Magudulela Ntuthuko, Fakude Zamantolo and Buthelezi Nthandoyenkosi.
Grade 9:
Middle: Phiwokuhle Buthelezi, Okuhle Mdluli and Ayathaba Khumalo.
Back: Smangaliso Zwane, Thandolwethu Mtambo and Sibahle Bongwe (absent: Aphile Hlophe).
Grade 10:
Middle: Ndaba Nomfundo, Biyela Olwethu and Mavuso Siphokuhle.
Back: Mabaso Thandolwethu, Khumalo Nosipho and Mantshi Nwabisa, (absent: Masondo Nduduzo).
Grade 11:
Middle: Nosphiwo Nkosi.
Back: Anele Shabalala, Thokozani Mdamba, Khethelo Dube and Ntandoyenkosi Buthelezi.
Grade 12:
Middle: Zulu Nhlalenhle, Xulu Siyanda and Thabede Melokuhle.
Back: Majola Lwazi, Sibiya Olwethu and Ngqulunga Samkelo.
