Esperanza Special School ‘lights it up blue’ for autism awareness

Esperanza Special Needs celebrated Autism Awareness Day this past Friday, (April 21) by hosting a blue-themed special day of food and entertainment for the students and their family.

The school principal, Jennifer, led the group of kids, parents, and caregivers outside as the day started with a little stroll while carrying a banner that stated “autism awareness day.”

She then sincerely thanked the parents for giving their kids to the school and reassured them that autistic kids are smart, unique, and adored by everyone who cares for them.

In keeping with the theme, everyone was given blue food and drinks, which the kids enjoyed indulging in on their big day.
