Wishing the Muslim community a blessed Eid

Muslims will be celebrating Eid now that the month-long fast is over

Muslims in Ladysmith and around the world are celebrating Eid today (April 22).

Meaning the ‘festival of breaking the fast’, Eid marks the end of the holy month of Ramadhan.

During Ramadhan, believers abstain from eating and drinking during daylight hours.

Eid day usually begins with early-morning prayers and then family visits and feasts. Muslims greet each other by saying ‘Eid Mubarak’.
