Practitioners in the tourism sector receive a skills boost

Recognizing the need to upskill those already working in the tourism industry, a training workshop was organized to provide accreditation to tourist guides in culture and nature guiding

Practitioners in the tourism industry were invited to participate in a training workshop organized by the Amajuba District municipality in collaboration with the KwaZulu- Natal Department of Economic development, tourism and environmental affairs at the the Newcastle training centre on Wednesday (April 12).

Youth, who have a passion for tourism and are already working in the tourism industry, were identified and invited to participate

One of the strategic goals of this training is to equip underprivileged communities who work in the tourist guide industry.

Deputy Mayor Cllr T.E Mthembu gave a message of support and stated that Amajuba District Municipality is committed to facilitating the smooth execution of this training in collaboration with all stakeholders and role players.
