Food for Life Estcourt – small team, big goals
20 000 meals have reached communities, thanks to the local team
A small dedicated team and generous sponsors have made it possible for the Food for Life Estcourt branch to donate 20 000 meals since it was started in 2019.
Food for Life is a global organisation that seeks to stamp out hunger in communities. Thousands of vegetarian meals are distributed in communities, all freshly prepared by volunteers from the community.
The local branch, together with its big-hearted sponsors and hard-working distributors, ensure that the mission to provide hearty and wholesome meals to locals is fulfilled.
It was a quiet celebration for the small group of members recently as they marked this momentous achievement. The volunteers shared lunch together before a cake was cut.
Distribution of 500 meals was done in Forderville and Drakensview.
