Divan clinches Dundee Open golf honours

The club would like to wish Joe Khumalo a speedy recovery after an operation.

Divan Groblaar of Vryheid took the honours at the Dundee Open, which was played over 36 holes on Sunday in perfect weather and course conditions.
Divan, who is a previous winner of the Open, carded 144 gross in the A Division. Local golfer Dr Sifiso Kunene was the nett winner in the A Division on 141, with Jacqui Porrill winning the B Division on 139 nett. PM gross A Division honours went to Mason Meyer on 70 gross, with the AM gross going to P Mabela on 76.
Shameel Ayob won the AM nett on 70, with Shepard Nzenza winning the PM nett on 67.
51 players from around the area took to the course, and the committee thanks Jeff’s Service Station and PR Mining for their sponsorship.
The committee also thanks the bar and cleaning staff, the course staff, Pinky and her staff in the kitchen, the ladies in the Pro Shop, Marc and Dolly Bradbury for doing the scoreboard, and all the players for participating in this annual event.
