Auspicious Ramayan Week and upcoming prayers at Dundee Hindu Temple

Join the Dundee Hindu Temple to celebrate this auspicious day on Friday, May 5, from 17:30.

Ramayan Week (March 22): Ram – Naam is the essence of the 4 Vedas. The Dundee Hindu Temple will be observing Ramayan Week from Wednesday, March 22-30. Prayers will take place from 18:00 to 19:30 daily. The Ramayan will be read, and bhajans and kirtans will be rendered.
Hanuman Jundha prayer (March 26): Will commence at 08:00 and Ram Katha at 09:00.
Devotees and well-wishers may contact Guru Umeshvaran if they wish to offer/sponsor parsadh.
Ram Naumee (March 30): Will be celebrated on Thursday from 08:30, commencing with Ganesh Pooja and concluding with Aarthi at 12:00.
Shri Hanuman Jayanthi (April 5): Hanuman Jayanthi will be celebrated from 18:00. The Hanuman Chalisa will be recited 11 times and kirtans / bhajans will be rendered, concluding with Hawan and Aarthi.
Tamil New Year: Will be celebrated on Friday, April 14.
The prayer service will start at 18:00.
Chitrai Paravum Kavady: Chitrai Paravum is the first full moon of the Tamil New Year. A full moon is considered auspicious in many religions because of its effects on the attitude of people.
A full moon is said to promote creativity and positive sentiments.
Chitrai Paravum Kavady is conducted on a smaller scale than Thaipoosam Kavady, but with the same significance. Prayer to Lord Muruga on this auspicious day is said to have special benefits.
