Majuba Tvet continues to uplift lives through outreach programmes

The College continues to engage in community outreach in order to improve the lives of individuals and communities through progress

As part of its contribution to socioeconomic development, Majuba TVET College aims to uplift and support communities in desperate need of certain services and skill development through community outreach programmes.

This is according to Majuba Tvet’s, Thobile Tshabalala.

Recently, the College’s occupational programmes unit, led by acting assistant director, Dumisani Mabizela, provided occupational skills training to change the lives of approximately 65 people with disabilities in three occupational skills,” she said.

Sonele Ganya trained 23 beneficiaries in garment making, while. Thembinkosi Simelane trained 20 in hide and skin production, and Langalethu Mncube trained 22 in farming.

This wonderful occupational skills training initiative ran for four weeks at the Osizweni Handicraft Centre,” Tshabalala said.

The trainees and Hlengiwe Mncube, acting facility manager at the Osizweni Handicraft Centre, expressed gratitude for the chance and praised Majuba TVET College for providing them with the training that will enable them to support themselves using the skills they acquired.

The College continues to engage in community outreach in order to improve the lives of individuals and communities through progress,” Tshabalala concluded.
