Armed robbery in Zaailaagte

The robbers fled the scene with items to the value of approximately R143,500

Two men robbed a house in Zaailaagte in the early hours of Saturday morning. The men, one of whom was armed with a 9mm pistol, forced their way into the house. They demanded cash from the homeowner, before taking a vehicle as well as household goods. They tied the homeowner’s hands and feet to the fence outside. It is believed that both suspects were wearing dark clothes, balaclavas and gloves. The one with the gun had a bandage on his left hand. The robbers fled the scene with items to the value of approximately R143,500. No arrests have yet been made.
