Decomposed body of missing women found in shack

Later, the decomposed body of the missing woman was recovered buried in a shack in the victim’s place of residence.

A case of murder is currently being investigated after four suspects were arrested in with the murder of a 42-year-old Madadeni woman.

According to official police sources, the woman was reported missing at the Madadeni police station on Monday, February 14.

However, after following up on information, police discovered that she had been missing for the past two years.

Amajuba CI, Madadeni Csc (Sgt Mlambo and Cst Madonsela), Newcastle Crime fighter Task Team (Imran and Team), Optimus Protection Services (OPS), Adams (Anti-Hijacking) Operational Team followed up on various leads and conducted a 24hour active operation in the Madadeni area, which lead to the arrest of two male and two female suspects in connection with her disappearance.

Later, the decomposed body of the missing woman was recovered buried in a shack in the victim’s place of residence.

Public Order Policing (POP) was also summoned to the scene to assist with crowd management while LCRC assisted with the investigations at the scene.

The murder weapon was also recovered at the scene of the crime and has been booked into the SAPS 13.

Police investigations will continue.
