The substation that blew up in Jantha Street this afternoon (February 4) is currently being fixed by electricians.
According to electricians, the substation has extensive damages and it is unknown when power will be restored.

According to uThukela, the Ladysmith bulk purification plant does not have electricity and pumps are off. Therefore, areas such as Van Riebeeck Park, Roosboom and other areas are without water.
