Transnet health train stops off in town

The train is expected to spend another week in town...

The Transnet Phelophepha Health Train is yet again at the Ladysmith station.

This train provides a variety of medical services to community members, mostly free of charge.

Mayor Zama Sibisi said they really appreciate the help received from this ‘clinic on wheels’, since there are not enough health facilities to deal with everyone. “With this train having visited our town, we are hopeful that a lot of people got the help they needed,” said the mayor.

The Al-Imdaad Foundation also lent a helping hand to those in the queue by handing out sandwiches and water. They also donated wheelchairs and walking sticks to those in need.

The train is expected to spend another week in town, providing much-needed primary healthcare services.
