Residents angry at state of Tanjore Road

Water-filled craters lie in wait to damage people's vehicles

Frustrated motorists are saying that the massive potholes in Tanjore Road are causing major difficulties for them. They say the holes are huge and often filled with water.

“We can’t see the holes at night, especially with water in them, and they damage our vehicles,” fumed one angry resident.

Mr Maharaj, who has lived in Tanjore Road for many years, commented that this pothole problem has been an ongoing issue and the condition of not only Tanjore Road but all roads in Ladysmith keeps getting worse, with no one attending to the matter.

“Where is the municipality when you need them? What do we pay rates and taxes for, if not for maintenance issues like this to be addressed promptly?” he railed.

At the time of publishing, Alfred Duma Local Municipality had not commented.
