Chopper airlifts patient to Durban

The patient had sustained injuries to his legs from a fall

A Red Cross AMS medical helicopter landed at Ladysmith Regional Hospital during the week.

The purpose was to airlift a patient to a hospital in Durban for specialised care.

According to paramedics, the patient was a middle-aged male who fell from a building while doing work for a construction company.

The paramedics said the prognosis looks good though and the patient should have a full recovery.

The chopper was huge and when it took off with blades whirring loudly, it was an amazing sight like something out of a movie.
