The leak is causing major problems for residents, motorists and pedestrians alike, who use the road on a daily basis. People are complaining about the unbearable stench, and the fact that the water splashes up and dirties vehicles.

“The pavement is very small and dodging the leak is almost impossible, because we end up walking in the road and vehicles pass by at close range. This is a main thoroughfare that is near many facilities, so something needs to be done urgently to address the problem,” said a frustrated resident who did not want to be named.
