Club manager claims top spot at sponsored golf day
Boland and Ebert Koorts came second with 43 points (onco), while Almero Roux and B Koorts claimed third place with 42 points.
Club manager, Elred Darvall, and his golf partner, Sheng-Po Tseng, scooped first place in the NG Drakensbergvallei Sponsored Golf Day hosted on Saturday, November 19, with 43 points (onco).
“It’s been a long time,” laughed Darvall, when complimented on the win. “It was a windy day and my partner and I adapted well to the windy conditions which contributed to our success.”
Boland and Ebert Koorts came second with 43 points (onco), while Almero Roux and B Koorts claimed third place with 42 points.
Renier Terblanche and Leon Rothman came fourth with 41 points (onco), with Charles Kemp and Ben Clowles in fifth place with 41 points (onco).
Darvall admitted that the field was a little disappointing with on 53 golfers coming out to show their support, but explains that this isn’t unusual for this time of year when people are saving money to give their families a special Christmas and enjoyable festive period
Golfers can look forward to the Melo’s Pub and Grill Sponsored Competition this Saturday, November 26, which will get going with a shot-gun start at 10am.
