Biker injured after colliding with pedestrian

The motorcyclist claimed he was driving from Victoria Road towards Drakensberg Road when the pedestrian suddenly ran across the road.

A motorcyclist sustained minor injuries after colliding with a pedestrian on Allen Street, yesterday afternoon (November 16).

According to Jan-Henk van Vuuren of Magenta Medical Services, the motorcyclist claimed he was driving from Victoria Road towards Drakensberg Road when the pedestrian suddenly ran across the road.

“He collided with the pedestrian and fell, sustaining  minor injuries,” said Van Vuuren.

The pedestrian’s injuries are unknown as he immediately left the scene before emergency services arrived.

The cause of the accident is being investigated by the police.
