Body of missing Cassidy Goga found

The Renegade Search and Rescue team along with various other authorities and volunteers launched a search party which has come to a tragic end.

After a week-long search, Cassidy Goga’s body was recovered in an open field in Fernwood.

Cassidy was reported missing on Monday, after he left his home in Lennoxton. However, he never returned home.

The Renegade Search and Rescue team along with various other authorities and volunteers launched a search party which has come to a tragic end.

“We wish to convey our condolences to the friends and family of the deceased during this difficult time,” said Renagades Search and Rescue Coordinator, Razia Cassim.

The following individuals have Cassim’s sincere gratitude for their unwavering support throughout the last week:

Razia Cassim (CPF), Cllr, Faizel Cassim, Detective KD Landman (SAPS), Warrant Officer Stanley Holloway (K9 Search and Rescue), Officer S. Gopaul (CPF), and the community of Newcastle who assisted us with either sharing the missing persons flyers or joining in on the search.
