Hospice sells hamburgers

The money raised will go towards the palliative care they provide

The Ladysmith Hospice Association recently set up a hamburger stand outside De Franca’s Spar in Francis Road. The aim was to raise funds for the organisation.

The Hospice ladies were out in full force to tempt early-morning shoppers with a bite to eat, while also supporting a good cause. The mouth-watering aroma of sizzling onions and burger patties was too much to resist, and a tidy sum of money was raised on the day.

The ladies were overjoyed by the support of the caring community and commented that this will go a long way towards funding the palliative care offered by Hospice to people suffering from life-threatening diseases. They urge Ladysmith residents to carry on supporting them in the months and years to come, as they lend a helping hand to those who are in desperate need.
