The Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court had to be evacuated today (October 3) due to a bomb scare.
It is alleged that the court manager received a phone call from an unknown person, saying there was a bomb inside the building.

Keate Street is currently closed off and it is believed that police are waiting for the bomb squad from Newcastle to arrive.
The Ladysmith K9 Unit, Public Safety and Fire Department have all responded to the scene.
