For the past 28 years, Pastor Richard Masemola (54) has made waves in the music industry after releasing four successful gospel albums.

His passion and love for music has allowed him to work alongside some of the best gospel names in the country, and he has even performed in London, England.

“I have been incredibly blessed and it is my goal going forward to provide others with the same opportunities I was given,” he said.

In 1994, a well-known Durban artist hosted a talent audition in Osizweni.

“I decided to attend the auditions, where I sang my songs and played the piano accordion. The producer was very impressed with me and immediately signed me to a record deal with Natal Records and BMG Music. I was taken to Pinetown, where I recorded my first album entitled ‘Time to Praise the Lord’. That was an absolutely amazing experience. My album was recorded live with a band and everything.”

Thereafter, Masemola’s life would change for the better.
