New TV offices launched

During the launch, 1KZN TV station manager Mr Edwin Mncwango said the partnership is aimed at ensuring that local KZN content is placed on the map.

Msinga Mayor Mletheni Ndlovu has officially unveiled the new 1KZN TV offices, housed at the Tugela Ferry Thusong Centre, in the deepest rural area of Msinga.
According to Cllr Ndlovu, the media launch is part of government’s efforts to continue transforming and developing communities through media and digital technologies.
1KZN TV is one of South Africa’s regional TV stations aimed at promoting local content.
During the launch, 1KZN TV station manager Mr Edwin Mncwango said the partnership is aimed at ensuring that local KZN content is placed on the map.
“This is one of the media partnerships that will ensure that our citizens are kept informed and educated, and will encourage public participation to transform the lives of rural communities,” said Mncwango.
He urged everyone to tune in and follow this TV channel.
The media launch coincided with the ‘2022 Annual Thusong Month’, where government services were showcased to help communities within Msinga. Thandinkosi Zulu from GCIS welcomed this TV station that is aimed at promoting government services throughout the district.
“Regional TV stations are the lifeline for news and stories in our communities.
“We commit to ensure that they get the necessary content and we urge all sectors of society, including the business community, to support this station through advertising to enable it to improve the quality of broadcasting at grassroots level,” said Zulu.
