Double green number for dedicated athlete

Siyabonga Mbatha has completed his 20th Comrades Marathon after a two-year break due to Covid-19. In doing so, he achieved his double green number.

“The second number was long overdue. I was supposed to receive it in 2020. I am glad that I am a Comrades Marathon legend and I encourage the youth of Estcourt to stay away from drugs and instead focus on education and sport,” said Mbatha.

Mbatha was part of the Estcourt Athletic Club members that took on the Comrades Marathon down run on August 28.
