ANC hand over two houses in Matiwaneskop

Provincial chairperson Siboniso Duma officially handed over the houses

The ANC Josiah Gumede Region, together with the Alfred Duma sub-region, handed over two houses to needy families in Matiwaneskop today (August 24).

The ANC delegation was led by provincial chairperson Siboniso Duma and Josiah Gumede regional chairperson Siphiwe Mazibuko. They visited the Macu and Shabalala families respectively, where they officially handed over two newly-built houses.

Former Ward 23 councillor Mongezi Nkephu said that the Macu house was built after community members called him to come and see the state of the house the family was living in. “I was shocked to see its condition, so I consulted with the ANC leadership in the region and we began this project,” said Nkephu.

After handing over the Macu family house, the delegation proceeded to the Shabalala family in the same ward, where they handed over another newly-built home.
