Sewer leak frustrates Acaciavale resident

Mr Naidoo says the problem has been recurring ever since 2019 when he first moved to the area

Mr Naidoo, who lives in Acaciavale, has been having endless problems with his main sewer pipeline that keeps flooding his yard.

The problem has recurred several times, dating back to 2019 when he first moved to the area. Mr Naidoo claims that he has made several complaints to uThukela, but nothing has been done about the situation.

“I am highly disappointed in the treatment I have received to date. My complaints seem to fall on deaf ears and my situation just gets worse and worse. I have to get private companies to come and fix the problem, with no compensation, which is totally unfair,” said a frustrated Mr Naidoo.

uThukela communications manager Jabulani Mkonza said he has reported the issue to the Technical Department and will follow up to make sure the pipeline is repaired.
