Truck on fire along Harrismith road

The cause is unknown at this stage

A truck carrying potatoes caught alight today (July 1) on the Harrismith road after the Windsor Dam turnoff.

Ladysmith police, Public Safety and Alfred Duma Local Municipality fire-fighters rushed to the scene to put out the fire.

The efficient fire-fighters quickly extinguished the blaze.

Traffic was backed up and delayed while clean-up operations took place.
