Dundee crime briefs: Business robbery in Victoria Street

An undisclosed sum of money was taken, and cellphones were also removed from the safe.


The staff at Pep Stores in Victoria Street were held at gunpoint when the shop was robbed on Tuesday afternoon last week.
Employees were cashing up the day’s takings at about 17:00 when unknown men pretending to be customers suddenly pulled out guns and demanded cash and cellphones. They also ordered the store manager to open the safe. An undisclosed sum of money was taken, and cellphones were also removed from the safe. No shots were fired and no injuries reported.
Anyone with information pertaining to this robbery is asked to contact Dundee police station.
