Iskcon Estcourt devotees welcomed a world-renowned guru on June 4.
Ram Govinda Swami visited the temple and was warmly received by a large audience.
It was a spiritually-enlightening and educational event with a tumultuous kirtan.
Rama Govinda Swami is an initiating spiritual master and is a disciple of His Holiness Krishsa Das Swami Maharaj.
He first came into contact with Iskcon during a visit to Washington DC, USA.
Maharaj then joined Iskcon Botswana, where he was stationed as an army officer on behalf of the Indian government. This is where he met his spiritual master.

Maharaj, who hails from South India, is astute in Vedic literature and speaks multiple languages.
He is talented at reciting the Ramayan, Srimad Bhagavatam and Bhagavad Gita in expert detail; and presents the vedic literature with deep knowledge and colourful charisma.
Maharaj travels and preaches Krisnna Consciousness extensively in Botswana, Kenya, Zambia, South Africa and India.
