Two people injured in Allen Street collisions –

Two people have been injured after two back-to-back collisions on Allen Street earlier this evening (April 30).

According to witnesses at the scene, a vehicle was traveling up Allen Street when the driver allegedly made a U-turn at the Drakensberg Drive intersection.

He collided with an oncoming vehicle, before attempting to flee the scene back down Allen Street. In the process, he collided with a second vehicle, which brought him to a halt,” said the eyewitness.

Multiple drivers were treated at the scene for minor to moderate injuries, before being transported to hospital for further care.

All emergency personnel were present at the scene to conduct preliminary investigations into the incident.

Officials have urged motorists to be extra vigilant while travelling tonight, as there appears to be a number of reckless and possibly drunk drivers on the road.
