eDumbe Municipality receives R6 million for bringing services to the people

‘’eDumbe Local Municipality is moving in the right direction.’’

Zululand District Municipality has rewarded eDumbe Local Municipality for excellence in bringing development and service delivery to the people.

Within the Zululand District, eDumbe is the only municipality that benefited to the tune of R6 million. Mayor Sibusiso Mkhabela mentioned that this money will be used to improve the roads in Ward 13, Lindelani area, as well as upgrade the road in Bilanyoni, Ward 4.’’

‘’It will also be used to fence the cemetery in Prince Mangosuthu township (Ward 14).’’

The mayor further applauded the staff for their excellence in managing the finances of the municipality after winning R600,000 for third place in the KwaZulu-Natal Cleanest Town Competition. The mayor concluded by saying, ‘’eDumbe Local Municipality is moving in the right direction.’’
