State of the road worsens at Lusitania

Teachers and learners can't get to school when it's raining

Residents of Lusitania (Ward 24) are up in arms about the state of the main road that passes through the area. Motorists who make use of this road say that it has gone from bad to worse.

According to a concerned motorist who is also a resident of this rural farming area, the road has been in a bad state for a long time, but now it is practically unusable.

“Towards the end of last year, a construction company came to fix the road, but they left before finishing the job.  They dug up the road and left it in a worse condition than before,” said the fuming motorist.
