Food parcels donated to Watersmeet families

This was part of a social relief campaign aimed at helping families affected by the recent floods

100 families in Watersmeet have received food parcels that were donated by the Department of Co-operative Governance & Traditional Affairs (CoGTA).

The food parcels were handed over today (March 12) during an event held at the Ezimbuzini Community Hall. MEC for CoGTA Sipho Hlomuka was present for the handover.

This donation forms part of the department’s social relief campaign that is aimed at assisting families who were affected by the recent floods.

The initiative was sponsored by the National Lotteries Commission.
