Ladysmith police were called out today (January 18) after a 35-year-old male was found dead in Steadville. The man’s body was found at the side of a stream.
An inquest has been opened and investigations are underway.
Police have commented that there were no gunshot wounds or any visible harm to the body, so foul play is not suspected.
No eyewitnesses have come forward at this stage. However, lots of people gathered to see what was happening when they saw police lights flashing at the scene where the body was discovered.

The identity of the deceased is not yet known.
