VRYHEID KZN: Athletes embrace the new year with filled-up calendar

The new year is here and we are so pleased to be part of all the exciting things happening in 2022. We would like to encourage all Vryheid runners and walkers to come and join Vryheid Athletic Club (VAC). The VAC clubhouse is located at the Pionier Hoërskool sports field.
Annual club fees: male and female – R240; junior – R120; family – R350.
If you would like an ASA licence for races, it will be an additional R140 for seniors and R90 for juniors.
Calendar:
Thursday, January 13, at 17:00:P mew members can come and sign in, and members can buy / order VAC clothing.
Thursday, January 13, at 17:30: VAC 5km time trial for runners and walkers. Please bring your braai meat, sides, and drinks for a social club braai afterwards, and of course your family as well.
Saturday, January 15, at 05:00: Slow long-distance from Bloemveld Dam. Please bring your family along with gazebos, chairs, braai goodies, meat, sides and drinks for a braai after the run. Everybody is welcome!
Saturday, January 22: Volksrust Marathon. PRE-ENTRIES ONLY! Entries close on Thursday, January 20.
Club run times:
Mondays at 05:00 from BP Garage.
Wednesdays at 04:30 from Lancaster Flats (run up Lancaster Hill).
Fridays at 05:00 from BP Garage.
Saturdays at 05:00 from BP Garage for slow long-distance run.
