Department of Education spokesperson in the province, Mr Muzi Mahlambi, confirmed that the school was damaged and that the roof was blown off.

“As the department, we are certain that the school’s opening will not be affected, since there are enough classrooms to accommodate all the learners. The block that was damaged is not used that much,” said Mahlambi.
