VRYHEID KZN: A blessed message to Vryheid police officers

Once again, thank you for all your hard work and sheer dedication; we hope this will continue for years to come

The Vryheid SAPS acting station commander, Lieutenant Colonel Potgieter, wishes all the police officers and the community a blessed festive season… “We stand at the end of yet another year, when we remember a time long ago. In a small town called Bethlehem, on a dark and lonely night, God planted a seed of hope and love in this depressing world. Angles and shepherds witnessed this promise and rejoiced at the promise that was made, that would save the whole of mankind.

It was during this time that Christ came to dwell among us so that He could lead us in the way of love, that we may follow in His footsteps. In this day and age, the Spirit of Christ awaits for people like us to open our hearts to Him in order that He may enter and take over their lives.

Without any ceremony, Christ was born in a stable in Bethlehem and laid in a manger, and yet the wise men knew of His birth – and shepherds were told thereof by angles and followed the star to His crib – while the rest of the world slept.

Because the Son of God did what was expected of Him right until the day He was crucified, we may never forget His Birthday – this is why every Christian celebrates this month in their own way.

With the birth of Jesus. we began a new era in which people saw in Him the way of Love, compassion, mercy and hope, and therefore Christmas is a time of love and thanksgiving.

Now is the time for us to look at the world around us, and help spread love and happiness to those less fortunate. Christmas is the time for us to go through the world and let our own light shine.

Look up and believe! Follow the star as the wise men did before us, and see the light that will shine through on our chaotic world and its people.

Clean out the anger of your heart that the Christ child may be born again in your heart, and celebrate with all the other Christians around the world. May you always be conscious of the Light of God’s love and may the Prince of Peace be your constant companion in the days ahead.

We thoroughly understand the efforts undertaken by the employees to complete the tasks given to them. We are happy with everyone’s work and how your work, as well as your efforts, have benefited the SAPS. The goals achieved were possible only because of your hard work and efforts. Even with Covid putting a dark cloud over our heads, everyone pulled together to make the best of a bad situation.

Once again, thank you for all your hard work and sheer dedication; we hope this will continue for years to come.

Vryheid SAPS takes this opportunity to wish all its members and their families, as well as the community of Vryheid, a very Merry Christmas. May this festival bring joy and prosperity to all.
