ESTCOURT KZN: Police minister reshuffles Amangwe police to address crime needs

Minister Cele said the focus will be on priority crimes

With a long history of crimes that include stock theft, murder and robbery, the community of Loskop (Amangwe) had an opportunity to raise their concerns with Minister of Police General Bheki Cele.

A Crime Prevention Imbizo was held in Nyezane yesterday (October 22) where the minister listened and addressed residents about the crime fighting strategies that will be deployed to curb crimes.

One of the actions taken by General Cele was an overhaul of the Amangwe police management, which he said would improve the working relationship with the community; this was after residents voiced their dissatisfaction about the police.
