NEWCASTLE KZN: One person seriously injured in Allen Street collision
The injured person was transported to hospital for further medical care.
It was a busy evening for emergency services personnel last night (October 22), which included responding to an accident on Allen Street.
According to sources at the scene, it is alleged vehicles were racing illegally at the time. It is believed that one person was critically injured after a vehicle lost control and veered into a crowd of bystanders.
The patient was treated at the scene before being transported to hospital for further medical care.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are still unclear at this stage and will remain subject to official investigations by authorities.
