Ladysmith KZN: Covid-19 cases continue to drop in the province

The number of daily hospital 'isolations' is also declining

On Monday (October 4), KwaZulu-Natal recorded 90 new coronavirus (Covid-19) cases. KZN is the third highest in terms of the number of laboratory-confirmed cases countrywide, contributing 18% (512,639).
 
 
KZN continues to rank as the fourth highest in terms of fatalities countrywide, following the Eastern Cape, Gauteng and Western Cape. The province is contributing 17% (14,636) of the deaths.
 
15 deaths related to Covid-19 were recorded in the province on October 4.
 
The number of daily hospital ‘isolations’ is also on the decline in both the private and public sector, including Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients and those requiring ventilation.
