ESTCOURT KZN: More firearms off the streets in Loskop
A 9mm Glock pistol and a. 303 rifle were recovered from the suspects
Another intelligence driven operation hosted by various police units was held in Amangwe (Loskop) last night (September 23).
Amangwe police, accompanied by Uthukela Crime Intelligence Operatives and Durban Public Order Police, recorded success when two people, aged 42 and 46, were arrested for being in unlawful possession of a firearm.
According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan, a 9mm Glock pistol and a. 303 rifle were recovered from the suspects.
“The serial numbers of both the firearms had been obliterated. Several rounds of ammunition were found with the firearms. Both the suspects will be profiled and are due to appear in the Estcourt Magistrates court on Monday (September 27),” added W/O Khan.
